Al Fatihah – Raja Mamat Raja Salim
Raja Mamat Raja Salim (MCE 1976) was one of the SS fine runners in mid-70s. He had passed away in Johore Bahru of stroke and heart ailment and was buried at his home place in Batu Hampar, Manir, Terengganu on 12th July 2011.
When I called Cikgu Wan Hassan this evening, he immediately remembers Raja as the school runner, as Cikgu was usually responsible to take the school runners to inter-school relay invitations. So was Raja best known as – the school runner.
Some would also remember him as fellow hostelite.
Despite being active in sports, Raja also excelled in his studies for being in Form Five Science One.
