Mr. Nava’s Photos – Hostel Annual Dinner
Continuation from: Mr. Nava’s Photos – The Hostel
I have to make some guesswork and assumptions to collate all these photos as related to Boys Hotels Annual Dinner. The year, maybe 1969.
Seen here is HM En. Khalid giving his speech before the dinner. On his right is Mr. Nava. With En. Khalid is his wife Puan Azizah. Next to her is warden En. Bahari Mohd Atan.

I again have to assume that the following photos are from the same dinner function as above. This could be after dinner do and possibly the HM and the wardens were gone before they start making this noise once a year.
Not just music and singing – it has to come complete with “dressing”. I wonder who are they imitating.

What could this be? Fancy dress competition? I didn’t know that James Bond 007 wear aborigines costume.

The Sulaimanians 
The one giving the speech possibly is Hostel Captain who is Ahmad Rani, the man nearest right hand corner (same picture) is not Bahari Mohd Atan.
Abang Ali, you could be correct about the hostel captain. But as for the warden – I based on the note at the back of the photo written by Mr. Nava identifying the person as “En. Bahari”. But he could as forgotten as the note was a recent one.

Ana, thanks for the correction. Unfortunately, Mr. Nave noted Puan Azizah as HM Khalid’s wife’s name. He could have forgotten the name then.

My MCE year 1969. It’s wonderful to see the photos of my favourite headmaster-En Mohd.Khalid b Mohd Jamin (being the FIRST malay HM in the SS history) & history teacher Mr. Navaratnam. My last seen together with my beloved Tn.Hj Khalid Jamin was in 1986 during our performing hajj & TnHj Khalid peluk saya depan BaitulLah dlm Masjidil Haram apabila dberitahu yg saya bekas pelajar nyer.
